It’s true what they say that good people attract good people. In this case the “last piece of my PUZZLE, my HORCRUX, my LIGHTSABER, and my TOOTHLESS” (high five to Simon for the awesome vows! I was tearing up by this point!).
Right from the warmthness of the morning light to the fun and craziness of the night, their special day couldn’t of been any more perfect than they were together.
When I first received an email from Emily and Simon there was a great connection and we knew that this would be a beautiful wedding to capture! Not only did Emily approve of Landon Austin’s ‘Once in a Lifetime’ as the PERFECT WEDDING SONG but more importantly they shared a genuine love for each other.
They shared their proposal story with me and I loved it so much that I hope this was ok to share it with others as well:
Emily and Simon were visiting Simon’s parents and Grandma down at Port Macquarie when Simon decided to ask the question.
While they stood waiting for the sun to rise, cuddling and having a lovely chat about how much they loved each other and how happy they were. Out of the blue, a pod of humpback whales starting moving past them. They were having a great time frolicking, and the calves were breaching and jumping up.
Emily, of course excited to see the whales took out her camera to capture the moment. Poor Simon was waiting down on one knee off to the side, trying to grab Emily’s attention with the most beautiful ring (which he designed himself!). He finally got her attention and asked the question, and of course she said YES! Lots of crying ensued from both parties!
Thank you so much to Emily and Simon for letting us capture and experience your special day with all your family and friends. And wishing the happiest birthday to Rosemary Sinclair (the lovely mother of the bride) today! Yay for the perfect timing! 😀
